This
annual event, which has been running for over 25 years, is a popular event
in the Clay Pigeon Shooting calendar. The Titchmarsh Shoot is organised
by Robert Lea, on behalf of the Fitzwilliam Hunt Supporters Club, and
is held on the first or second Sunday in June from 2pm.
The Shoot attracts people from far and wide
and from all walks of life, including several members of the England Clay
Shooting Team. The Shoot attracts around 200 entries for this 30-bird
sporting shoot, over four stands. The most popular gun used is a twelve-bore
over and under shotgun, firing one ounce of number seven shot. |
