Concessionary Fares

East Northamptonshire Council funds concessionary fare schemes and there are several options available to help you travel around more freely at an affordable rate.

• Travel tokens can be used for travel on buses, taxis, trains and with local volunteer agencies. They are available to the elderly and certain categories of disabled people and travelling companions. You can buy tokens at a subsidised cost.

• The free half fare bus pass offers the choice to the elderly and disabled who primarily use buses to travel. It can be used on all registered bus services to travel on journeys within the boundaries of East Northamptonshire to a wide range of locations.

• The 16 Plus travel scheme helps eligible students living in the district to continue with their education. The Scheme meets half the cost of the county council bus pass for travel to and from the student's school.
