When passing in and out of the village during spring you cannot help but notice the huge swathes of brilliant yellow daffodils. The grass verges are covered in them. The bulbs planted every year by a group of villagers led by Michael Alderman. He estimates he plants upwards of 500 at a time - probably many more.
Of course not even Michael can do this task alone. That's why at around this time of the year he asks for volunteers to come ad help. The first batch of bulbs will start going into the ground this Sunday. If you'd like to help, please meet at the shop at 10am!
