A Bumper Harvest Festival

As good as last year

Thank you to everyone who came and supported Harvest Festival last Sunday. It was great to see so many families with children both at the church service and at the lunch. After a delicious meal of ham, quiche and salad followed by Autumn fruit puds with cream or ice cream - the latter very popular with the children - Alastair Brown from Bletsoes auctioned all the generous donations of fruit, vegetables & home produce. These included a splendid Harvest Loaf baked by Julia Powell. There were also a few promises auctioned and altogether just over £1600 was raised for the church. The donations of tinned produce were not auctioned but have been donated to a Food Bank.
