Titchmarsh Cider Project

Village cider

Would anyone be interested in making village cider next year?  A few of us are thinking of getting a group together to give it a go and make use of the apple trees we have in our gardens.  Even if you don't have a tree but fancy joining in, let us know.  Just looking for names at this stage. Drop me an email at pjbk@live.co.uk.

Hi Philip. No apples I'm afraid, but I have a small (about 10 litre I think) cider press, a book and other brewing equipment (demi johns, fermenting bucket etc). I have made a couple of batches of cider in the past with hugely variable results (ranging from reasonably palatable to vinegar!) so this sounds good!

Great stuff. You'll be chief brewer then :). I'm going to get some people together in the spring, what's the best email to contact you on?

Don't think I could handle that sort of pressure - maybe chief taster instead? ;)
Email on nezrobiso@aol.com - look forward to it.

Great. I'm just gathering names at the moment, then in the spring I'll get in touch and try and get a team together. I've never done this before but I'm sure there are some experienced brewers in the village.
