Household
Rubbish
East Northamptonshire Council (ENC) collects
household rubbish, early every Thursday morning, so remember to put your
waste out on Wednesday evening.
Recycling
ENC operate a recycling system for which
they provide each household with a ‘green
box’ and a
'red box'.
Items suitable for recycling via your
green box includes
cans & tins, card & cardboard, plastic bottles, textiles and shoes.
Green boxes are emptied fortnightly along with household rubbish.
Your red
box is for paper (loose - not in plastic bags), newspapers, magazines,
junk mail and catalogues. Red boxes are emptied fortnightly along with
household rubbish.
Glass
Collection
ENC's monthly ‘blue
box’ collection service is designed to recycle glass and bottles
of any size or colour.
Your blue box is emptied
every 4 weeks along with household rubbish.
Garden
Waste Recycling
Working with the Verdant Group, ENC has
introduced a green
waste collection service using a 'brown box'!
There is an annual charge of £35 +VAT and a one-off charge of £10 + VAT
for the delivery of the large capacity bin. For
