Refuse Collection

Household Rubbish

East Northamptonshire Council (ENC) collects household rubbish, early every Thursday morning, so remember to put your waste out on Wednesday evening.

Recycling

ENC operate a recycling system for which they provide each household with a ‘green box’ and a 'red box'.

Items suitable for recycling via your green box includes cans & tins, card & cardboard, plastic bottles, textiles and shoes. Green boxes are emptied fortnightly along with household rubbish.

Your red box is for paper (loose - not in plastic bags), newspapers, magazines, junk mail and catalogues. Red boxes are emptied fortnightly along with household rubbish.

Glass Collection

ENC's monthly ‘blue box’ collection service is designed to recycle glass and bottles of any size or colour.

Your blue box is emptied every 4 weeks along with household rubbish.

Garden Waste Recycling

Working with the Verdant Group, ENC has introduced a  green waste collection service using a 'brown box'! There is an annual charge of £35 +VAT and a one-off charge of £10 + VAT for the delivery of the large capacity bin.  For further information ring 0800 781 7135 or visit Verdant website at www.greenwasteclub.co.uk (click on the East Northants Council logo).

Details of which boxes are collected on which Thursday can be found on the calendar pages.
