Titchmarsh Reading Group

The Reading Group meets at the Wheatsheaf at 8.00pm on the first Thursday in each month.  The purpose of the group is to give book lovers an opportunity to meet to talk about what they have read, and to introduce them to books they might have missed or not otherwise have chosen to read.

Meetings are relaxed, very informal and the discussion always stimulating - and often lively. The debate rarely stops at the text itself, leading on to broader issues raised by the book. Books are chosen by members of the group and are listed in advance.  Arrangement can also be made to purchase the books, usually at a discount.

So, if you enjoy reading and enjoy sharing your ideas with others, then please come along.  All we ask is that you have at least had a stab at reading the book of the month.  You do not have to have finished it, but be prepared to be challenged about your opinions – in the friendliest way possible, of course.
