The vestry was built in the 19th century and contains the fireplace that used to be part of the Pickering’s private pew above the porch. The vestry also used to contain the parish records and the church silver which now have to be stored away from church premises for security reasons. The Parish Registers date back to 1543. They and the other parish records are now housed at the County Record Office.

The Plate includes five C17th pieces of good quality - a flagon, two chalices and two cover patens, which were donated to the church by Revd Dr Deane, Rector from 1660 to 1678. Other church silver includes an alms dish from 1837 given by the Revd Lyttleton Powys as a thanksgiving for recovery from illness, and a wafer box given in 1939 in memory of Richard Twelftree, a Churchwarden from 1913 to 1939.
