The Wheatsheaf is a recently refurbished quirky pub. It has three separate areas of bar, lounge and restaurant adding to its idiosyncratic character. The Wheatsheaf offers an excellent range of food from Bar Snacks to an a la Carte restaurant menu. For summer dining and drinking there is a pleasant garden, with a vegetable garden that helps supply the kitchen with herbs and vegetables.

Food is served at lunchtimes from 12 noon – 2pm and Monday – Saturday evenings from 6 –9.30.  It opens all day on Sundays for lunch and dinner. The excellent food is complimented by an extensive wine list from both Europe and the New World.

The Bar has a relaxed atmosphere and is furnished with antique furniture on traditional stone floors. In the winter months draw a chair up around the open fires. It serves a range of 3 cask ales and one guest ale, and a wide range of other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. There is space to play darts and skittles, or dominoes, cards and board games.
