Worship
People have worshipped at the parish church of St Mary’s Titchmarsh for hundreds of years and continue to do at the present day. Organisationally, the church and its Parish Church Council are members of the new Benefice of Aldwincle, Clopton, Pilton, Stoke Doyle, Thorpe Achurch, Titchmarsh and Wadenhoe in the Anglican Diocese of Peterborough, and part of the Deanery of Oundle, information on which can be obtained from www.stpetersoundle.org.uk Baptisms, Confirmations, Marriages and Funerals can be arranged through the Rector, Rev'd Jim Mynors who can be contacted through jim@mynors.me.uk. Other enquiries about the church can be addressed to the Churchwardens who can be contacted through church@titchmarsh.info Services Have been generally held every Sunday at 9.30am, though this will change to 9.15am from 1st September 2007. Details are given on the church services page. Visitors to the parish are very welcome to join in these acts of worship, or simply make a visit to the church for their own communion in prayer. Thought for August At this stage in my time here I'm struck by how much discussion there's been about times of services, finances etc. But this is only the scaffolding - of course at heart the church is supposed to be about people - and God.
You'll be glad to know the churchwardens now have a plan for services to last us to the end of 2007. So we can, as it were, get on with the job. But then I imagine most who read this need to consult diaries and check bank statements from time to time!
With all good wishes
Jim
